Does your club feel welcoming to introverts? Many of our clubs have social meet-and-greets at the beginning of the meeting, with lots of handshakes and hugging going on. That may be off-putting to introverts! How do you structure your meeting time to welcome and engage shyer people?
Let’s talk about that next Tuesday, July 19th, at the District Membership Forum. It’s at 10 am and on zoom. We’ll hear from Carly Kruse (Ashland Lithia Springs,) Mark Miranda (Newport,) and John Scarborough (Ashland,) who will speak from their self-identified introvert perspective.
Then we’ll open the discussion up for you to share your challenges, ideas, trials, and solutions. You’ll walk away with some ideas you can try in your Rotary Club.
The District Membership Forum is held every third Tuesday from 10-11 am and focuses on a topic chosen by the participants. Registration is never necessary – just zoom in to join. Next Monday, the NEW zoom link will be sent to Club Presidents, Presidents-Elect, and Membership Chairs to share with anyone in their club who is interested in Membership.
