The Rotary Club of Eugene Southtowne hosted our District Governor, Jim Polk, and his wife (and chauffer) Katie. Jim delighted us with his career path of service beginning with the military, then working for the city of Cave Junction. His service focus led him to Rotary, starting as a charter member of the Cave Junction Club in 2007, and serving as Club Director, President, and Treasurer. He graduated from the Leadership Institute and Leadership Academy. He’s a Paul Harris Fellow +7 and a member of the Paul Harris Society, and District Polio Plus Society. Jim has sponsored four new Rotarians. In District 5110, he served as Assistant Governor and District Treasurer before becoming our District Governor this year.
Along the way, Jim received the District Small Club President Award, several Club Rotarian of the Year awards, Outstanding District Leader, and District Rotarian of the Year.
Plus he brought Bourbon Bobblehead and the sunshine with him!
