  • Dr. Terri Homer, President of the Rotary Club of Corvallis,  to receive the 2021-2022 Service Above Self Award.

Over a 34-year career as an anesthesiologist, Doctor Terri Homer volunteered on 30 surgical mission trips in developing countries in Central and South America and Southeast Asia. Those trips provided children with life-changing pediatric plastic reconstructive surgery including cleft lip and palate repair, and burn scar release and grafting.  When the pandemic arrived in March 2020, Dr Homer quickly acquired certification to provide medical assistance as needed to vaccinate citizens of the community.  Throughout her career and into her retirement, Dr. Terri Homer has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Service Above Self through voluntary service that has benefited thousands of lives.
