Forty two fabulous Rotarians in our district 5110 joined the PolioPlus Society in the Month of October! Every PolioPlus Society member makes a commitment to donate at least $100 per year to ENDING POLIO until polio is eradicated. These new members join over 600 current District 5110 PolioPlus Society members! Thank you every one!
While this “Society” commitment is critical and most excellent, every single dollar Rotarians and friends donate helps bring us closer to ENDING POLIO. Every dollar we donate is matched by the Gates Foundation two to one.
Together the clubs in our district have a polio giving goal this year of $129,845. I am delighted to report we have donated $$44,858 through Nov. 12th. WELL DONE and KEEP IT UP!
The money we donate to END POLIO is used in the following ways:
36% raising awareness
35% getting vaccines to children
12% vaccine
9% detecting disease
7% experts
1% research
