Instructions
How to Subscribe to a District 5110 Calendar
Choose the calendar you want, then use its Subscription Link with the instructions for your device or calendar service. Subscribing keeps the calendar connected so future DACdb changes can appear automatically when your calendar provider refreshes the feed.
For Mac
- In the Calendar app on your Mac, choose File > New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste the calendar's Subscription Link, then click Subscribe.
- Choose a name, color, location, and an Auto-refresh interval, then click OK.
For iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings, then go to Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts. On some iOS versions this appears as Calendar > Accounts.
- Tap Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Paste the calendar's Subscription Link into the Server field, then tap Next.
- Review the settings and tap Save.
For Google Calendar (in a web browser)
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the left, next to Other calendars, click the + button and choose From URL.
- Paste the calendar's Subscription Link into the URL field.
- Click Add calendar.
For Android Phones and Devices
- First add the Subscription Link to Google Calendar from a computer using the instructions above.
- On your Android device, open the Google Calendar app.
- Open the menu, go to Settings, and select the Google account where you added the calendar.
- If necessary, tap Show more, select the new calendar, and make sure Sync is turned on.
- You can also adjust notifications for the subscribed calendar from this screen.
For Outlook.com / Outlook on the Web
- Sign in to Outlook and open Calendar.
- Select Add calendar.
- Choose Subscribe from web (or From web, depending on your Outlook version).
- Paste the calendar's Subscription Link.
- Give the calendar a name if prompted, then select Import or Save.
Important: Subscribe using the Subscription Link instead of downloading and importing the .ics file. Importing creates a one-time copy; a subscription can receive future changes.
Calendar refresh timing: Apple, Google, Outlook, and other calendar services decide how often they check subscribed calendars. A change made in DACdb may therefore take some time to appear on your device.
Other calendar apps: Some apps, including certain device-specific calendar apps, may not accept an iCalendar subscription URL directly. In that case, subscribe through a supported service such as Google Calendar or Outlook and then sync that account to your device.
