¡Felices Fiestas from Project Amigo!

Want to change a child's life forever?

Many of you already know and love Project Amigo, a thirty-year success story of turning dreams into careers for primary to university students in rural Colima, Mexico.

Hundreds of Rotarians from around the world have volunteered in beautiful Cofradía de Suchitlan, including Rotarians from many clubs in our district. Rotarians from throughout 5110 have been going to Project Amigo for more than 20 years. You sponsor students and support specific projects like school libraries and housing for university students.

This week, Rotarians from Canada, the US, Holland, and Chile are celebrating the holidays with students for a week of piñata-making, present-wrapping, volunteering at local schools, and meeting Santa. Not only are we having fun with the students, it’s an incredible fellowship experience for Rotarians to serve together and learn together.

Throughout the year, Project Amigo offers numerous service weeks, each with a different theme. You can come to teach the students English, learn how to cook local dishes, sign up for a construction week, or celebrate Día de Los Muertos.
