This past weekend, District 5110 leaders gathered for a visioning session—a chance to step out of the turbulence of day-to-day work and soar higher. Thanks, PDG and District Visioning Chair, Gerry Kosanovic for organizing and facilitating this day! We began by surveying our club presidents, asking: How well is the district serving you? Where can we do better? Their honest answers gave us valuable lift as we shaped the discussion.
Looking Back from 2030
The exercise was both practical and inspiring. We imagined ourselves in the year 2030, looking back five years to celebrate what we had accomplished. What steps did we take that strengthened our clubs? How did we grow membership, increase impact, and better support one another?
The room was full of thoughtful energy as district leaders reflected, brainstormed, and committed to action. Together, we identified ways to sharpen our focus, improve communication, and provide resources that will help clubs thrive well into the next decade. (Thanks, Cherie Curzon, for the image.)
What We Learned:
- Listening deeply to club presidents is essential to understanding where support matters most.
- Envisioning the future helps clarify today’s priorities.
- Collaboration and shared leadership fuel stronger clubs.
- The district’s role is to remove obstacles and provide tools that let clubs soar.
This is just the beginning. Visioning only matters if it leads to real change—and that’s exactly what we intend to make happen. I look forward to continuing the conversation with all of you as we chart the course together. We haven’t peaked yet!
