One of the greatest heroes of Ukraine is not a president or a general but a nineteenth century poet, Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
[a side note: In the Slavic world the middle name is the fathers first name and “vych” means “son of”]
We fly the Ukrainian flags and support these heroric people, but if you want to explore their heart and soul, read the poetry of Shevchenko. For less that $2.00 at Amazon, you can download The Poet of Ukraine: Selected Poems of Taras Shevchenko

With you in spirit, Dan. Stay safe!
hank you Bill your support and encouragement is always appreciated. Got some great stories “in the can” can’t wait to get them out there.
It was so good to meet you at our meeting Dan, I’m glad you are representing Rotary! Will enjoy reading your future posts. Take care, keep safe!
Randy, this trip would not have been possible without you and your generosity. We have hours of tape to post. The next phase will take us closer to the war zone in Kharkiv then south to Odessa and finally, to end on a positive note, we will visit a club in the Carpathian Mountains who sponsors a camp for traumatized children. I can only post a few highlights on the district website but the whole trip is on https://voicesandstoriesua.com/ so come along. Thanks again. Dan
Thank You
