The Rotary Club of Monroe, Oregon served its community for 5 years. But, it was time to say GoodBye and they celebrated their successes on June 30th. The members may join other clubs in the area. One way or another, their hearts for service will continue to make an impact.

So glad you were able to get together with your club members to celebrate your accomplishments. I am a member of Eugene Airport Rotary and we would love to invite you to visit our club. We meet every Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the airport except the 3rd Thursday of every month we meet at Dickie Jo’s at 6:30 p.m. across from Valley River Center. Come check us out!

Wishing each of you luck as you join surrounding clubs.

At RI Convention in Calgary, I learned a lot about Companion Clubs. That model might be right for this group. Less-structured, few/no formal meeting schedule, lower cost. No falderall, just join together for service. Satellite of another Club, which handles paperwork and reporting. I’d read about such clubs in Rotary magazine, but did not understand the function and value. RI has a Club-In-Box program in which they handle organizing, if local Club gets 3-5 interested people.
