Rick Olson is our New District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair

“We will continue to inspire and engage our Rotary family in building a legacy of giving—ensuring the sustainability of our projects and global grants for years to come.”

As DRFCC, Rick will lead and coordinate all aspects of the Rotary Foundation at the district level. He’ll guide clubs in applying for and managing grants, promote Foundation giving, and ensure strong stewardship and reporting practices.

Rick grew up in Rotary – his father, Dick Olson, was active in the Eugene Club and District Governor in 1991-1992. Rick joined the club in November 1986, was president in 2012-2013, and District Governor in 2019-2020. His commitment to Rotary’s mission and collaborative leadership style will be a great asset as we continue making an impact locally and globally through Foundation-funded projects.

As Rick said, “As we begin the 2025–2026 Rotary year, your Foundation Committee remains strong with highly experienced and deeply committed leaders. Together, we are dedicated to helping our clubs and fellow Rotarians fund meaningful projects that create lasting impact in our local communities.

“We will continue to inspire and engage our Rotary family in building a legacy of giving—ensuring the sustainability of our projects and global grants for years to come. Thanks to the outstanding leadership of PDG Cindi O’Neil, we proudly reached our ambitious $1 million fundraising goal this past year.

“This year, we will build on that momentum and grow our financial resources through the continued generosity of our members. Thank you for being a vital part of this ongoing mission of service and impact.”

Please join us in welcoming Rick to this vital role in our district’s leadership! And reach out to Rick if you’d like to learn more about how you can help in this area of district leadership.
