Rotary Zones 26/27 Youth Services presents a Virtual Conference!

The focus of our next virtual conference, coming up quickly on Saturday, March 18, will challenge us

Hello, Rotary Youth Leaders:

RI President Jennifer Jones’ theme this year is “Imagine Rotary.”  The focus of our next virtual conference, coming up quickly on Saturday, March 18, will challenge us, as Rotary Youth Programs Leaders, to IMAGINE PARTNERSHIPS, which we could possibly initiate with other organizations to expand and maximize the reach and the impact of our Rotary-sponsored programs.

Brian Russell, who is an experienced specialist in helping to connect organizations and develop mutually-beneficial partnerships, will be our keynote speaker.  As  has been the case with our past RYS Task Force-sponsored virtual conferences, participants will be able to select two of the six repeated breakout sessions to attend.  These breakouts will feature examples of types of partnerships which RYS leaders in some of our 30 districts in Zones 26-27 have been establishing. Those examples will include:

  • Interact & RYLA Partnering with Toastmasters – Debbie Ford, facilitator
  • Interact & RYLA Partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs – Art Harrington, facilitator
  • Interact Partnering with Other Student Organizations Within High Schools — Teri Snyder and Alexis Greenly, facilitators
  • Youth Exchange Partnering With Organizations Within the Host Community — Mike Markley, facilitator
  • RYLA Partnering With Professional Experts — Mary Hoskins and Bridget Markwood, facilitators
  • Interact Partnering With Organizations Outside Rotary In Local Communities — John Coffman, Mike Darnold and Sophie Andersen, facilitators

In response to our Hawaii RYS leaders’ repeated request to make our time frame a little more convenient for their participation, this IMAGINE PARTNERSHIPS conference will begin an hour later than we have in the past.  The new conference time will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. PDST .

As before, participation in this conference is FREE.  In addition, you are not limited in the number of youth program leaders from your district you would like to have take advantage of this opportunity to join us in imagining the many possibilities for creating partnerships, which could possibly expand the scope and reach of yourdistrict’s Interact, RYLA and Youth Exchange programs.
