Sangre de Mi Sangre

Artists Advocating for Change

Violence against girls and women is a global threat to peace – and progress. But advocates in Mexico are speaking out with compassion and with art.

Swedish photographer and advocate Maj Lindström will be sharing her passion and her work with Sangre de Mi Sangre, an integral part of the Guadalajara-based Colectiva Hilos.

Colectiva Hilos is a multidisciplinary collective of artists advocating for social change while challenging political and legal structures in Jalisco and throughout Mexico. Through visual art, textiles, and performance they are committed to being a voice for the voiceless, a presence for the disappeared and murdered women who deserve justice, and whose families deserve answers.

You are invited to join us for this special presentation on Tuesday, March 21st at 6 pm Pacific. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to learning more about this difficult but important topic together.
