Please join D5100/D5110 for a Rotaract Virtual Game Night , Fri. March 12, 2021 !

Hopefully, everyone is familiar with the four active Rotaract clubs in District 5110: University of Oregon Rotaract, Oregon State University Rotaract, Southern Oregon University Rotaract, and NoBorders Rotaract E-Club.

As Rotaractors, they’ve strived to build communities through increasing connections, professional development, and bridging the gap between us and Rotarians, all while promoting the motto “Service Above Self.” Our clubs work together to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the community in hopes of creating a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all. Additionally, each Rotaract Club in D5110 has their own main fundraisers and events, as well as mentorship programs with partnering Rotary Clubs. Each club tries to pair a Rotaractor and Rotarian with similar interests and professional aspirations. This allows Rotaractor to step into the world of Rotary with a familiar face on their side and learn about professional opportunities.

The UO Rotaract club just completed a small cleanup where pairs walked around Alton Baker park armed with trash bags and gloves. The UO Rotaract club is also starting to ramp up for their annual Trivia Night Fundraiser which will be held virtually on Fri. May 7th, 2021! This gives you plenty of time to start training for your Olympic-theme team and funds will go towards the White Bird Clinic , a local clinic dedicated to promoting and providing equity in healthcare.

The NoBorders e-club has projects going on all around the world and is currently working with the Rotaract Club of Embu on their Only One Project in Kenya. One of their past projects included raising funds to help install 30 solar light packages on the Navajo Reservation in Northern New Mexico.

SOU Rotaract just launched their mentorship program with the Rotary Club of Ashland and have hosted a magnitude of speakers over the school year. SOU just finished their own annual Shelterbox fundraiser, collecting ~$2,000.

Oregon State Rotaract has been busy supporting their local food bank and gathered pounds of food! Members of OSU Rotaract also volunteered at the Vina Moses Center , a local relief organization in Corvallis. OSU Rotaract also just received the Build the Rotary Brand Grant which they used for some ~stylish~ club t-shirts and a banner to help promote their small club! OSU is currently working on adapting a program, starting on the Interact level, to help tutor kids virtually during the pandemic
