Interact Clubs

Interact clubs are Rotary-sponsored service organizations of teens ages 12-18 that may be school-based or community-based. Clubs are chartered through Rotary International and operate according to the Rotary International Interact Handbook, Statement of Policy, and a Standard Interact Club Constitution and bylaws. Every Interact club completes at least one local community service project and one international project annually.

In District 5110, there are over 30 active Interact clubs. Interact clubs are overseen by a 12-member District Interact Committee comprised of 6 Rotarians and 6 Interactors. A District Interact Chair, a Rotarian, is appointed by the District Governor for a 3-year term. A student leader, the District Interact Representative (DIR), is elected by Interact clubs annually and is the primary representative for all Interact members in the District. Each fall, Interact members choose an international project to support – while voluntary, they combine efforts to maximize their financial contribution to the chosen project. Interactors can attend an Interact District Training Assembly in the fall, and an Interact District Conference, held in conjunction with the annual Rotary District 5110 event.
