Rotary Leadership Institute is an exciting learning opportunity open to all District 5110 Rotarians. Last Saturday & Sunday, we held one in Ashland. 27 participants, including 2 Rotaractors, were engaged with a full day and a half of learning about Rotary and leadership skills. Of course, building a network of other Rotarian leaders around the area is also invaluable – everyone sharing ideas, challenges and solutions. The faculty of eight each had specialized experience and passion to share. Curriculum included:
- Rotary Basics
- Teamwork
- Leadership
- Communication
- Planning
- Public Image
- Ethics
- 4 Strategic Priorities
- Becoming a Vibrant Club
- Membership
- The Rotary Foundation
- Grants
District 5110 is planning two more RLI’s next Spring – so stay tuned for details. They will be a different areas around the District for your convenience, and will be promoted in this newsletter and on DACdb in the District Calendar. Registration includes training materials and all meals. The friends you make are a bonus. Many clubs offer their members scholarships for the $200 cost of registration.
