Our district has officially selected its Council Representative and Alternate for the 2026–2028 Council cycle. Please join me in congratulating Representative Tim Mobley and Alternate Jim Polk as they prepare to serve our clubs at the 2026 & 2027 Councils on Resolutions and the 2028 Council on Legislation.

Every district is required to select and report its representative and alternate to Rotary International by 31 December 2025. These leaders assume a two-and-a-half-year term beginning 1 January 2026, aligning with Rotary’s transition to the new Council schedule. Their role is significant: they review all proposed enactments and resolutions, understand the views of Rotarians across District 5110, participate in all Council sessions, and report back to our clubs after each meeting.

Representatives must also complete required online training, attend the 2027 Rotary Institute COL training, and be fully prepared to participate in the in-person, week-long 2028 Council on Legislation. These responsibilities ensure our district’s voice is heard clearly and knowledgeably in Rotary’s global legislative process.

We are grateful for Representative Tim Mobley and Alternate Jim Polk for stepping into these important leadership roles. Their service ensures District 5110 remains engaged, informed, and well-represented in shaping Rotary’s future.

Many thanks to Tim and Jim for stepping to do this work. While many of the rest of us will benefit without much effort. This is a lot of time and effort that helps us all.
