Rotary Club of Sunriver-La Pine Fundraiser Coming Up Soon!

Members of the Sunriver-LaPine Rotary Club invite you to our major annual fundraiser, The High Desert Derby: An evening of Hats, Horses, & Hope. On June 13 at 5:30 pm, join us for an activity-filled evening that includes a gourmet dinner, virtual horse racing, a visit with live horses, a derby hat contest, a wine raffle, and silent and live auctions. Club members, led by fundraiser chairman Steffen Schulze, have been working for months to make this a memorable experience for everyone who attends.
Auctioneer Shanan Kelley, a Bend personality of many talents, including comedian, writer, and emcee, will add fun to the evening. Experiences up for bidding include a 7-night stay in Cabo San Lucas, a 5-course gourmet halibut dinner for a small group prepared by club member Alan Zalewski, and a one-night stay at Willamette Valley Vineyard.
Dinner is catered by Bend’s popular Bleu Bite. Appetizers will be passed around while guests socialize and look over the silent auction selections. Dinner choices include three entrées: Black Butte Porter tri-tip, cedar salmon, and stuffed portobello mushrooms. The meal includes vegetable side dishes, strawberry shortcake, and hosted wine.
