If you haven’t spent a summer evening with friends under the lights in the trees at Shady Oaks, stay tuned for next year’s auction.
The Rotary Club of Cottage Grove’s annual event is a lovely dinner but it is also a successful fundraiser. And this year friends from the Rotary Clubs of Eugene Southtowne, Eugene Metropolitan, Delta, and Springfield had the opportunity to meet and hear presentations from recent RYLA students and a former RYLA student and counselor who is now a Cornell University student.
Their passion for the leadership skills they learned and the friendships they made was one of the highlights of the night.
But this year’s event also supported a number of local projects as well as scholarships for university students and relief funding for victims of the Lahaina fire in Hawaii.
These dedicated Rotarians have a lot to be proud of and a lot to celebrate.
If you have a chance to join other clubs for their events don’t miss the opportunity to join old friends, make new friends, and be inspired by the projects and programs that are near and dear to their hearts. Every club is different but we can all learn from each other.
Congratulations, Cottage Grove Rotarians!
