The Rotary Clubs of Eugene Emerald Valley and Eugene Metropolitan hosted a successful auction on November 15, 2024. By joining forces each club was able to pool resources to both reduce costs and raise more money together. This was our second joint auction and we were so pleased to collaborate together.
- We had over 120 participants in this year’s Emerald Valley + Eugene Metro Rotary Club Gala at the Unitarian Universalist Church in West Eugene, including many new attendees who were learning about Rotary for the first time at the event
- We raised more than $31,000 was raised to support of the projects of the two clubs, with net proceeds improved by the generous contributions of food from both clubs rather than hiring an outside caterer. Further emphasizing the shared love of good food and drink evident in both Clubs and their friends on the community, donations for “by the seat” dinners, wine tasting and whiskey tastings were among the most popular items among attendees—with all such events to be hosted by Club members.
- We aired Public Services Announcements on KRVM, put posters up all around downtown Eugene, and over a dozen Club members worked tirelessly to solicit contributions from area businesses, to organize the logistics for the event, and to prepare food, beverages and desserts.
Fundraising can always be challenging, particularly post-pandemic. We are so grateful to have found a great venue and for all the hard work it takes to generate interest and engagement for an-person event.
We are so grateful for the tireless dedication and creativity of all the committee members who made this auction a success.
And, of course, you’re invited next year!
