It is with a heavy heart I inform everyone of the passing of an amazing Rotarian, Past District Governor Walter C. (Walt) Schloer on June 19, 2024.
PDG Walt was born on June 22, 1939. He married Harriett on January 11, 1969. Together they formed an outstanding team; exemplifying Service above Self, supporting the drive to eradicate Polio, supporting district and global grants, and providing education and support to many Rotarians.
Walt served as the Governor for District 5110 during the 2005-06 year. He was a member of the Paul Harris Society and a Triple Crown recipient.
A celebration of life for Walt will be held at a date to be determined in July. Rest in Peace, Walt.

So sorry to read this news. Walt was one of the best Rotarians one could ever hope to meet. He and Harriett were a great team and I am so proud to have worked with him on many occasions.
