The Airport Club meets upstairs at the Eugene Airport. They had a delicious bacon and egg breakfast for those of us who needed the energy at the 7:30 am Thursday start time.
Judi Beard-Strubing, our District’s first female District Governor, is a member and was there – what a trend-setter and a hero of mine!
Membership Chair, David Bondurant inducted new member Jaimie Riddle, helped by Cathie Campbell. I stole a copy of their script! It emphasizes that Rotary membership is both an honor and a responsibility, calling on members to attend meetings regularly, contribute to club service, and share skills and knowledge to help advance Rotary’s values in the community.
President Mike McLaughlin and I presented lots of awards this morning – from left, Pam Perkins, Glen Martz, Phil Groshong, Bart Ellis, Bob Strubing, and David Bondurant. Also, notice the plushy Yoda on the lectern!
