On the Fly with DG Chris – Lebanon Club

This club has Junior Rotarians. They are high school students who are young volunteers for the Rotary Club, and are seen as informal future Rotarians. Here, Maya Van Dyke updates the club members on their latest activities.

Wednesday noons at Ma’s Restaurant is the spot to be in Lebanon. Besides the usual awards the president requests me to give, the Board decided that “Contact President” Kim Cleveland deserved one too – she’s also treasurer, meeting set-up helper, and AV wiz. I had to be pretty sneaky to get her to sign her award without knowing what it was.

Other awards went to Brandy O’Bannon, who has kept the club together, and Joanne Nelson, the outstanding Club secretary.

Lebanon Club funds all their service projects without holding fundraisers! They are all embedded in the community – some have lived their all their lives. They’re focusing on membership attraction this year. And they jumped at the chance to greet the other clubs in the District!
