West Albany Interactors hold their annual Polio Plus contest at the Albany Rotary Clubs

Today was the completion of the great Polio Plus Fundraiser grudge match between the two Albany Rotary clubs!

West Albany Interact club held their annual Polio Plus fundraiser today at the Rotary Club of Greater Albany. The goal is to raise funds to donate to Rotary International to eradicate Polio from the world. This is the second part of the contest, the first of which was held last Tuesday at the Rotary club of Albany. The Interact club is mentored by Steve Matthes, from the Rotary Club of Greater Albany, who has chaired the club for over 18 years!

Greater Albany Rotary Club raised $2240 in cash and pledges to take the win over Albany Rotary Club which raised $1430 for a total of over $3670 which is matched 2 to1 by the Gates Foundation for a total donation of over $11,000 going to fight Polio in the world!
