Gerry Kosanovic is Back in District Leadership in a Big Way

“The Vice Governor helps ensure continuity and stability in district operations, provides guidance to clubs and district committees as needed, and may represent the District Governor at events or meetings if the Governor is unavailable.”

Gerry joined the Rotary Club of Corvallis in October 1998, serving as club president in 2003-2004.  He later joined the Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis in 2011, serving as club president in 2015, and was recognized as club president of the year.  He later served as 5110’s District Governor in 2021-2022. You might remember him speaking about the 4 Strategic Priorities, and working four different T-Shirts into his program.

With his Education Administration background and a passion for Rotary, he wasn’t done yet. Gerry began serving as Visioning Chair and Action Plan Champion. He supports clubs in their effort to reach for a common goal – keeping the flock flying in formation. I had the pleasure of working with him as a learning leader for Rotary Leadership Institute.

That’s why I asked Gerry to serve as my Vice-Governor when I take the Governor role in July. As Gerry says, “The Rotary District 5110 Vice Governor serves as a key support leader to the District Governor. This role is primarily advisory in nature. The Vice Governor helps ensure continuity and stability in district operations, provides guidance to clubs and district committees as needed, and may represent the District Governor at events or meetings if the Governor is unavailable.”

Meanwhile, he will take on the role of Zone 26/27 Coordinator of the Expert Hub, which supports districts and clubs with specifically requested expertise. Gerry still has one more year to serve our District as Visioning Chair. If you would like to help support clubs as they strive to align their members to a common vision, contact Gerry.
