The Saturday before I met with the Club on Monday, I attended their 25th Annual Crab Fest Fundraiser. 800 tickets were sold to people who attended, and lots of fresh crab (along with all the fixings) were consumed. The club partners with United Way to spread the workload and the impact.

At their new club meeting venue, President Greg Roe (right) asked me to present several awards. One is Past EAG Joe Vincent, who is awarded “Most Passionate Rotarian.” This club is fortunate to have several past and present District Leaders who are still very involved.

The club is newly energized with President Greg Roe’s leadership. Besides now meeting at Loafers Station, a cozier place, they have revitalized their weekly newsletter (featuring the District Dog, Yoda.) That evening, a few of the club leaders invited me to a casual dinner. I love Rotarians!
