I visited this club at 7 am on Tuesday, April 28th. They meet at the Fairfield Inn, and a full breakfast is included in the $100/month room rental fee. If you, like me, have hesitated to visit morning clubs, let me tell you – they have so much energy! They’ll truly make you glad you got up!

President Dan Broockmann had warned me that their small club had just lost a charter member, Doug Pratt. So, after a moment of silence, they geared their happy bucks to fond memories of Doug. He was a loved and respected Rotarian, and everyone had a story to tell. There was laughter and also a few tears.

The club has an annual fundraiser, Brat’s, Brews, & Blues (check out the pictures on their website) that raised $14,000 last year. They support Camp Evergreen, a bereavement camp for youth through Klamath Hospice and Palliative Care. This year, they’re rebranding the event to Brats, Brews, & Bluegrass. What a fun evolution!

The club sends its greetings to your club. They invited me to a social on Thursday night held in tandem with the Klamath County Club…
