Welcome to the #TryRotary Toolkit!

This page is designed to give you tools to make the #TryRotary campaign a success in your community. Whether you are a Club President, Public Image Chair, or a member looking for a simple way to invite a friend, these resources are designed to help you lower the barrier to entry and grow your club.

The goal is simple: Invite, Welcome, and Enter. Use the materials below to spread the word, prepare your greeters, and turn every guest visit into a chance for them to win. Let’s work together to show our community why we love Rotary—while having a little fun along the way!

How Guests Enter the Try Rotary Contest

Visit a Meeting

Non-members visit any Rotary club in District 5110 between February and April.

Or, Attend an Event

Meet Yoda: Your Secret Weapon for Growth

Taking a photo with Yoda (real or stuffed) and posting it to social media with the tag @RotaryD5110 and the hashtag #TryRotary counts as an official second entry for your guests.

5 Creative Ideas to Use Yoda:

  • Welcome: Place the stuffed Yoda at your greeting table next to the sign-in sheet so he’s the first thing guests see.
  • Podium Partner: Have your Club President “co-chair” the meeting with Yoda on the lectern to spark a quick explanation of the contest.
  • Guest Selfie Station: Set up a dedicated corner with good lighting where guests can use their own phones to snap a “Selfie with Yoda.”
  • Yoda on the Move: Take Yoda to your club’s service projects or social mixers. Guests at any Rotary event are eligible to enter!

Remember: Remind guests to use their own smartphones for these photos so they can post and tag us immediately!
