On the Fly with DG Chris – Albany Club

Albany Club meets on Tuesdays at noon. With about 35 members, they have a lot of stars! Pictured are Laura Ouellette, Michelle Ramage, Casey Miller, David Bussard, Lara Raggon, Kim Lyddane, and President Ed Bock. During announcements, Ed ran through a calendar of community events – not just Rotary events. This makes everyone feel a part of the community!

I was excited to see the influx of new/younger members in the Albany Club, which amps up the energy (as you can see.) Several members just returned from Rotary Leadership Institute in Corvallis and are enthused about the benefit of going – the Rotary overview, the leadership training, and the new connections they made.

I was delighted to see my good friend, PDG David Bussard (DG1988-89), there. Besides being a very active volunteer in his club, he attends most every RI Convention, he’s a Foundation Benefactor, Major Donor Level 2, Bequest Society Level 1. Oh, the stories he can tell!

Afterward, I stayed for the Board meeting. I recommend! Attend a board meeting at your club – it will reveal your club’s priorities, decisions, and dynamics.
